Mild to wild watersports in the Island of Boracay.
Take the tube: Going for a swim in the sea is the
time-honoured traditional way to cool off and seek some relief from the
searing summer sun in Boracay. Activities on
the water can help beat the heat, too, with tube rides and sports like
kitesurfing and wakeboarding offering a wet ‘n’ wild workout for people
seeking a much more active and exciting adventure.
But if you’re too timid to skim across the sea under sail or motor
power, you can still have a blast watching a novice try one of the
sports for the first time, observing experienced participants honing
their skills, or seeing a professional make even the most difficult
maneuvers look almost effortless.
Windsurfing, sea kayaking, sailing, and stand up paddle
boarding are among the mainstream watersports offered at beaches
on some of the islands in the Boracay.
For people seeking more speed and excitement, alternative activities
include jet skiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, Flyfishing, water tubing and banana
boat rides. In some locations, kite surfing is available for enthusiasts
eager to experience the thrills and adrenalin rush of an extreme water
sport.
The
beautiful and sunny Boracay is synonymous with white sandy beaches,
shopping, dining out at the thousands of restaurants, Seafoods and Bars. Everyone who visits the Boracay Island on
holiday does all these things, but why not try something different? Take
full advantage of the water sports the Boracay Adventures Inc. has to offer and make
your holiday a unique and memorable one.

about when you get back home? Something that really sets your holiday

built for two while being towed along by a boat, your eyes will feast

Whether you’re a new boater or a veteran captain, mistakes can
happen (and boy have we seen our fair share of them). Lucky for you, a
lot of these “oops” moments can be easily avoided. Here are a few of the
most common ones we see, and what you can do to prevent them from
happening to you.
1) LAUNCHING THE BOAT WITHOUT PUTTING IN THE PLUG
Forgetting the plug is the most common mistake people make.
Usually, the excitement of putting in your boat trumps the thought of
putting in your plug. Here’s a simple rule to follow: don’t assume the plug is in and always double check.
If you’re trailering your boat, we recommend putting your plug in an
obvious location (tie it to your steering wheel for example) when taking
it out so you can’t miss it when the time comes to drop it back in.
2) OVERLOADING THE BOAT
Every boat has a capacity limit dictated by either a number of
people or weight limit. This mistake is avoided by knowing what the
boat’s capacity is and managing the people on board.
3) BOATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
There is something to be said about a boat ride while enjoying
your favorite beverage. However, there is a difference between doing
that and being irresponsible. Similar to a car, you can’t operate a boat
while intoxicated. Ph legal blood alcohol limit while driving
the boat is .08 or above. If you’re above that, you will be getting a
BUI (Boating Under the Influence). Stay safe!
4) SPILLING FUEL
Nothing is more frustrating than filling up your boat with a
standard 5-gallon gas can only to spill gas all over the place. This is
usually the result of a defective nozzle on the can.
5) FAILURE TO BE COAST GUARD APPROVED
If your summers are spent on the water, chances are you will be
pulled over by the sheriff or Coast Guard at some point. It’s standard
for them to do random safety checks on unsuspecting boaters and if you
don’t have the required equipment on board, it could result in a ticket.
Don’t let this be you! to see what you need to be Coast Guard approved.
Most adults have
vivid, happy memories of their family vacations growing up, and so as
adults, can’t wait to take their kids. Family vacations are highly
anticipated fun, but at the same time, most families don’t consider the
fact that they’ll be spending a lot more time with each other than
normal. Not to mention in some situations, you have to relinquish
control and planning, and that’s hard for some people. Moods get tense
and people get edgy, and a great vacation can become rough quickly. To
keep your vacation stress-free, happy, and lighthearted, consider a few
helpful tips for keeping the positive energy flowing, getting the most
out of your getaway.
Don’t wait until the last minute to arrange sleeping locations.
You’ll know ahead of
time what kind of hotel you book, so you can assign beds and rooms to
the appropriate family members. If you wait until you get to your room,
you could have bickering siblings and arguments over who gets to sleep
where.
Prepare yourself.
You know how
everyone will act; people don’t change simply because they go on
vacation. If you know someone gets cranky when hungry, don’t plan long
trips without stopping for food. Alternatively, if you know someone has
their heart set on a specific activity give everyone the option to go,
but don’t force everyone to participate. Some people prefer adventure to
relaxing on a beach, and vice versa. Always have an alternative option
for those who are unimpressed with the current activity.
Give yourself enough alone time.
Plan a day where you
can spend an hour or two alone, doing whatever it is you want to do.
Relax at a spa, go parasailing, rent a Jet ski or go for an exhilarating
hike. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll have time to relax and reflect
and you’ll have a story to tell everyone when you return.
Now that you have
said your vows, it’s time for rest and relaxation with your new spouse.
If you are planning your honeymoon in Boracay Island, we’re here to

your idea of a good time there are plenty of museums for your needs. The Boracay has also featuring arts, Cultures and

choice make sure to end at least one evening with a beautiful sunset
walk on the beach. This may be the last time you take a vacation as a
couple. Maybe you can even scope out a few things to do when you return
as a family!
Life Jackets Are Crucial, No Matter Age Or Experience
From
small children to veteran adults, everyone should wear a life jacket
when participating in water sports, events or leisure. All too often,
young adults and older counterparts think that they’re swimming
abilities outweigh the importance of a life jacket. However, life
jackets aren’t just for staying afloat. They can also help stabilize,
rise to the surface and get spotted by other boaters and swimmers. In
annual drowning, 90 percent of victims are not wearing a life jacket.
This means that 90 percent of those deaths could have been prevented.
Even the best swimmers can get discombobulated in the water. Waves
and rip tides can pull them every which way making it extremely
difficult to figure out where the surface is. A life jacket pulls the
swimmer naturally towards the surface. In this type of situation the
swimmer can more quickly readjust and reach the surface before they run
out of breath. Falling off of a boat, waterski or inner tube can all
result in this type of dangerous situation. Also keep in mind that the
younger and more inexperienced the swimmer is, the higher the risk is
for them when they enter the water without a life jacket.
A brightly busy beaches and waterways, it’s imperative
to be seen by boaters. When participating in water sports, falling into
the water is pretty standard, but then the boater has to find and pick
up the swimmer. A head above the water easily blends into the waves,
where as a yellow or orange life vest sticks out and lets the boater
quickly find the swimmer while also standing out so other boaters avoid
the area and hitting the swimmer waiting in the water.
There are so many more boats registered for use in the Philippines,
operated on Islands. However, some of
these boats have owners and operators that have never taken a boating
safety class. This statistic alone shows why it’s important for all ages
to wear a life jacket. Anything can happen out on the water and wearing
a life jacket is the best level of protection against water related
injuries and drowning.
The dangers of boating and open water should always serve as a
reminder to even veteran boaters and swimmers. Participating in the
safety practice of wearing a life jacket could not only save a life, but
also teach younger swimmers proper precaution and the importance of
wearing a life jacket throughout their lives. There is no excuse not to
wear a life jacket and in some states there are rigid laws requiring
certain age groups to use a life jacket on the water. Research into
boating laws and safety along with proper life jackets can help save a
life.
Ever been on watersports before? Like Jetskiing, Banana Boat Riding, The Wet and Wild Flyfishing, and More, If you have, you know that most of them are
fast – like, really, really fast. If you’ve never been on a watersports and are looking for some hints as to what you should wear, we
at Boracay Adventures Inc have got you covered – By giving this tips.
We
mention that some of the watersports are really, really fast because your day out
riding one is probably not the time to try out that loosely fitting pair
of swim trunks or that skimpy new bikini. Some can reach faster speeds, and while you’ve probably reached that speed while
encased inside a motor vehicle, it’s another thing entirely to be
completely exposed to the wind, flying spray and the water itself should
you fall off the back – which almost always happens.
Another element to consider is the baking sun. You wouldn’t want to
cut your excursion short because of severe sunburn, would you? Plus,
don’t forget that it might take you a while to reach the shore again,
depending on how far you’ve ventured.
So what should you wear considering all these things? First thing’s
first: you’ll definitely need a life vest. They’re actually required, so
this is one fashion accessory that you can’t skip. And although you may
feel silly, a flotation device drastically increases your chances of
survival should you be separated from your watercraft or be
injured in any way.
Underneath the vest, there are many options that will help protect you from the sun and keep you warm when in the water.
Lightweight Lycra, nylon and polyester shirts are a great option – and
they’ll also dry much more quickly than a normal bathing suit. Plus, if
you do end up falling off, there’s much less potential for an
embarrassing wardrobe malfunction!
If it’s a cool season and the waters are colder than normal, a
wetsuit may be the best option to keep you warm. The spray from a moving
jet ski can be surprisingly chilly, but wetsuits offer a thicker
material to keep you comfortable whether in or on the water.
You may also want to wear a pair of water shoes in case you make a stop or to protect your feet when getting out of the water.
When it comes to vacation destinations within the Philippines,
there are few places as enjoyable as Boracay. College kids go there for
school breaks, families love the abundance of activities, and seniors
love the warm weather.
While Boracay seems like a great year-round destination, there are
actually better times than others to visit. So when is the best time to
plan your trip and what makes it so perfect?
The Best Time to Visit Boracay Is Now!
If you haven’t already planned your Boracay getaway, then time is of
the essence because you are in the middle of the best season to visit.
Experts say that the time between now and the end of April is the best
window for your trip.
Why Is Now the Best Time to Visit?
Well, when it comes to Boracay – or any vacation, really – people
want to enjoy nice weather. Boracay, however, sometimes doesn’t always have the
most accommodating climate. Once May arrives, the weather changes and
turns decidedly warmer and wetter according through the month you are coming here. This means sometimes there
are more rainstorms and low pressure but still can enjoy sunsets on the best day you're choosing.
If you are planning a visit to Boracay, consider booking your trip
soon. Not only will you get the best weather, but there will also be a
lot more to do, and one of the best activities to engage in is riding
watersports in the gorgeous ocean off Boracay Island.
At Boracay Adventures Inc we are known as one of the best personal Travel and Tours company in Boracay Malay Aklan. Customers come to us time
after time because they know that our company will give them a good service to
remember. There is nothing quite like zipping up the waves of Boracay and now is the perfect time to experience it!
When you think of water sports, you can think of one
of two things - extreme sports, not suitable for the faint of hearted,
or the boats and floats available in the masses when you’re on holiday.
Whatever you think of, you’d be right. Water Sports cover such a wide
range of activities that something out there will make you want to break
out your wetsuits!
Whether you’re a strong swimmer or prefer dry land, here is our list of
reasons why you should give water sports a go!
You could go on an adventure at the same time!
Imagine jumping in a canoe or paddle boat and
getting out to explore stunning blue waters and the wealth of water life
that passes underneath you. You don’t have to imagine it. Getting out
for a float on crystal waters is very much within your reach while
you’re away, and it definitely counts as a water sport - probably.
Whether you like diving, or you’d prefer to stay in the safety of a
boat, you could see the most beautiful sights that a destination has to
offer from the water - and potentially learn a new skill while you’re at
it!
It’ll help you stay in shape.
Water sports, at their essence, are types of sport.
If land-based sports can keep you in shape, water-based sports can too.
Paddling on a boat is a great cardio and strength workout, surfing can
improve your balance and improve you core muscles, and swimming is
perfect for your core and your legs. The risks of injuries through
swimming are less than if you went running, for example - and it’s more
fun too!
Just think of the family fun!
If you’re taking your kids or any other family
members on holiday this year, the family fun you can get out of water
sports is endless. From kite surfing for older members, to banana boat
rides with the whole family, fun on and in the water doesn’t have to be
limited to just swimming at the hotel pool. If you’re traveling with
older kids or adult family, scuba lessons are a great way to learn a new
skill and see some amazing, unforgettable sights all at the same time.
Younger children can have lessons too, of course, but it’s up to you to
decide if it’s the right sport for them. The best part is that most
hotels will have deals on water sports, especially if you’re near the
beach, so make sure you take a look for a more affordable experience.
There’s something for everyone.
Nobody likes everything, it’s just a fact of life.
There is always something that someone doesn’t like, but because of the
wide range of water sports available, there will always be something
that you can do. The variety is endless, with unique and different
approaches to interacting with and in the water. Jet skiing or wind
surfing might not be our thing, but body boarding or kayaking could be
more your speed, and vice versa - and if you just like swimming? That’s
perfectly okay too! You could try scuba diving, Island Hopping and more if you want something a
little different!
It’s safer than you think.
One of the biggest worries you hear when talking
about water sports is the safety element, and whether water sports are
safe at all. The water can be scary. It’s an uncontrollable element that
covers 70% of our planet, but don’t let that deter you. Water
sports have probably been around to some extent as long as humans have,
but modern technology and scientific knowledge has only improved safety
levels. Safety regulations are constantly being improved, so while
something might not have looked safe in previous years, chances are it’s
only improving, even as you read this post!
Water sports are just one of several ways you can
enjoy yourself whether you’re on holiday or are lucky enough to live by
the coast. If you’re already a fan of water sports, why not try
something different this year? Challenge yourself to do something you
haven’t done before! And if you’re completely new to water sports? Give
it a go. You don’t have to jump in the deep end, but you never know what
you’ll enjoy until you try!
Jet
skiing is a fun and exciting water activity, but did you know that it’s
also great exercise? While you might not think so, riding a personal
watercraft engages several different muscle groups, making it a
wonderful way to work out and keep in shape. Let’s take a closer look at
how riding a Jet Ski can help you stay fit.
Improve Endurance
Jet skiing on a regular basis – for about 30 minutes a day or more –
can substantially improve your overall cardiovascular endurance. In
turn, this will give you more sustained energy for a long period of
time, allowing you to exercise longer, whether for working out or
recreation.
Strengthen Muscles
Your legs and arms are the two most used muscles while you are jet
skiing. This is done when you are trying to keep your watercraft stable
and balanced with your legs, while using your arms to steer the machine
and stay on course. These two muscle groups get a workout and they
subsequently will become even stronger with more time.
Keeping Balance
As you ride the waves while jet skiing, you will encounter many
different challenges as you ride above the waves. Some will be calmer,
and others will be stronger, and as your body works to stay upright and
afloat, it engages many of your core muscles. Riding helps you get
better at keeping balance, in the sense that you will be tested with
strong waters, but beyond that you also will work out these abdominal
muscles, too. You’ll get better at maintaining your equilibrium while
also working on getting that six-pack.
Burning Calories
In considering your workout, you also want to know how many calories
you’re burning. Most people who are actively working toward a fitness
goal track the number of calories they burn regularly, and those same
people will be excited to know that there’s actually a surprisingly high
caloric burn from jet skiing. According to Health Fitness Revolution, the average 150-pound rider will burn a surprising 238 calories during a half-hour ride.
Are you going on a vacation and looking for things to do with the
whole family? Don’t cross jet skiing off of your list – you can take
your kids along for the ride as long as they have a personal flotation
device and are positioned between two adults if they are extremely
young.
Although jet skiing with children can be an enjoyable activity and
great experience for all, it does require a little thought, preparation
and planning.
When to begin?
According to the Coast Guard, your child should be at least 18 pounds
and a personal flotation device should be able to fit them properly
when going on any boat. If you decide to take children, be sure to take
them for a fairly uneventful ride and try to stay within calmer
waterways.
Where to put your child?
The best location for your little one is between two adults if
possible. Your child may want to ride upfront to feel the waves splash
them, however the possibility of their face coming in contact with the
handlebars when you slowdown or hit rough water is fairly high. Even if
your child is seated in the middle of two adults, keep the speeds slow
and controlled, your child will be thrilled just by being on the Jet
Ski.
Practice your response if your child goes into the water.
If your child goes overboard and assuming there are two adults, have
the adult in the back seat take control of the situation and inform the
driver to stop the engine and remain on the Jet Ski. Before having the
adult in the back jump in the water, make sure to check for boat traffic
and potential dangers in the water. Next, swim to the child with your
head above the water so you can constantly see them, make sure they are
okay and help them back to the water craft.
The sun is blazing, temperatures are climbing and it is watersport
season! You’ve invested in fun with your jet ski and are sure to see
some very positive returns. But all watercraft sports do require a great
deal of care when it comes to your safety and the safety of those
around you. Having fun especially during the holidays, is
important and everyone should have a great time. This, however, doesn’t
have to mean drinking alcohol or using drugs, especially when operating
watercraft or doing your watersports activities. Not only are police enforcement out in full force,
patrolling for intoxicated boaters, but more importantly, drinking and
boating endangers lives. So the first step in safely operating your
watercraft this summer is refraining from substance use. Also, while on the open water with your jet ski, ensure you are fully
aware of your surroundings, constantly scanning for boating traffic and
swimmers. As a further precaution for the sake of swimmers, turn off
the engine when mooring or floating in populated swimming area such as
beaches and coves. For your own safety, keep an ignition safety switch lanyard secured
to your wrist or life jacket in the event you are ejected from your
vessel. Always keep your feet inside the foot runners and both hands on
the control bars. Avoiding sharp and dangerous maneuvers is also
ill-advised. Overloading your jet ski is also not recommended. Not only does this
actually put you at risk of sinking, many don’t realize water police
actually have the authority to cite an overloaded watercraft. You should
also never jet ski alone; think “safety in pairs.” Finally maintaining
your jet ski motor is imperative. Periodically securing hoses and
conducting routine maintenance can ensure you will not be stranded this
summer. Practicing common sense is the most important thing you can do when
out on the water. Remembering a few basic principles can mean the
difference between a fun day on the water and possible serious injury to
yourself and those around you.
In
the days before modern medicine, all-natural ocean air was considered
the cure for almost all illnesses. Science backs this up, concluding a
variety of health benefits from moist, salty air off the Atlantic Ocean.
Better sleep and skin as well as less respiration problems are just a
few health benefits of being near the ocean.
Full
of negative ions, ocean air helps you sleep more soundly. That’s
because negative ions help the body take in oxygen while balancing
serotonin levels. This is crucial in allowing seaside sleepers to relax,
sleep uninterrupted and wake up refreshed.
If
you suffer from dry skin, ocean water is also better than a trip to the
dermatologist. Studies show that the salt and potassium in the water
can help heal skin and add to its elasticity. Spending time in the waves
instead of time lathering skin with expensive lotion could be the key
to younger looking healthier skin.
Breathing
in ocean air each day can also lead to significant health benefits. For
example, if you suffer from a respiratory issue, coastal air could
greatly reduce negative symptoms. When the salty air fills your lungs,
it thins mucous while improving lung function. You will subsequently
experience reduced coughing and less pressure in the sinus cavities.
Living
in close proximity to the ocean can also be good for the mind. The sun,
sand and water, sounds of waves and smells of the ocean can all be
therapeutic and perpetually calming. Less stress is great for a working
immune system and a more productive mental state.
Boracay offer more than just a nice view of the water.
Health benefits from a more relaxed outlook to better sleeping all the
way to resolving outstanding respiratory issues all come with the
territory of living in a coastal environment.

Parasailing
is an incredibly fun experience that just about anyone can enjoy, even
nervous Nellies only comfortable with their feet firmly planted on the
ground.
The most important thing to keep in mind that parasailing is a very
safe activity. You are secured in a harness, giving you the support and
security you need throughout the entire ride. Knowing you have been
secured by a professional should give you the peace of mind you need to
really experience what parasailing is all about.
Another reason you don’t have to worry if you don’t like the water is
that knowing how to swim isn’t required. That’s because you’ll be up in
the air, and you should barely touch the water. Of course, you’ll have a
life jacket should you need to land, and someone will always be nearby
to pick you up.
Many people make the mistake of thinking parasailing is akin to going
on some sort of rollercoaster. While it can be very exciting, it can
also be an incredibly relaxing and soothing experience. There is nothing
quite like gliding over the water, and everyone really needs to try it
at least once in their life. Unlike a rollercoaster, there are very few
ups and downs– it’s mostly just smooth sailing.
If you are traveling
to Boracay there are few things you will want to keep in mind no matter
how far or near you are traveling from. Start making a list long before
your travels and packing begins that way you can try to remember
everything. You do not want to be taking a million trips to the store
instead of enjoying the fun. When writing your list try to remember all
the little things you use throughout the day, some of the little things
like hairbrushes and contact cases might seem small. Those small things
are the things that matter the most but also are often overlooked. After you get
through the packing list think about all the extras you will need. If
you are traveling by car the entire way you will need more to entertain
children then you may think. Best way to meet all the needs without
breaking the bank is by visiting your local store with your kids.
Usually you try to leave the kids at home because you don’t want them
picking up everything, well now you do! You want them to pick out the
items that will be entertaining them. You may need to direct them to
make good choices for a car ride but in the end you want them to be
excited about a 10 hour car ride. There is nothing worse than the
repetitive “are we there yet?” or “99 bottle of milk on the wall.” If
you are traveling by air you may still need some entertainment but not
as much, think light things because you will need to travel with them in
your luggage.
Big family trips are
something you will want to remember. So of course don’t forget the
camera or camcorder to capture all those moments. One great idea is to
have a “scent” trigger; no I don’t mean the smell of the fresh air when
you get to Boracay. In your luggage pack a new candle with a scent that
you will always connect with this memorable trip. Every time you open
your luggage on this trip you will smell the scent and your clothes will
smell like this scent. Then when you go home you can light the candle
and it will trigger those happy memories. Start planning your trip and
then make the memories that will last a lifetime.
We
have all seen the people who come back from vacation and look like
giant lobsters. Or maybe you have been one of those people? Follow our
tips to make sure you don’t become the walking punch line at work. We
know you are not going to stay out of the sun while on vacation but if
you don’t want to be sunburned you may want to. Alright, we know for a fact that it is not going to happen, so at least try to stay out of the sun during peak hours. Those peak hours are 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Although you may think you want to spend the afternoon in the sun, you
may want to rework your plan. You can visit a museum or do some
shopping, maybe even grab a nice lunch during these hours. Another way to avoid
sunburn is to make sure you properly and adequately apply sunscreen.
Also make sure you are applying the proper SPF, SPF 45 and higher is
most recommended. Make sure you apply the sunscreen before going into
the sun, also reapply when you get wet or when you feel like you may
need another layer. Don’t forget the
important but often forgotten areas that may get burned. Some of these
areas include behind and on top of your ears, around your eyes, on your
scalp, and your lips. You do not want to apply regular sunscreen to your
lips, lucky for you they sell chapstick made with SPF. So make sure you
are covered before you head out for your fun day in the sun.
When
you’re on vacation, it’s a great chance catch up on some much-needed
rest and relaxation and an opportunity to enjoy yourself with new, fun
activities. It’s also a chance to unplug, unwind and reconnect with
nature and get out and enjoy the fresh air.
When you book your activities with Boracay Adventures Inc., you have a great
opportunity to get out on the water to enjoy the sun, surf and spray of
the ocean. During your activities, you’ll be exposed to the fresh sea air, the
ocean water and the Boracay sunlight that is all great for your skin
and your overall health.
Spending time away from the inside of your home or office and out in
nature helps to keep you healthy and can even increase your immune
system. Sickness is almost unavoidable when you’re stuck in an office,
sharing germs during cold and flu season. Not only does being out on a
ride provide you with an escape from these close-quarter germs, but the
vitamin D from the sun and the exercise provided from keeping on board
and on balance while on your ride strengthens immune cells in your body.
Being outdoors also makes you happy! Doing a physical activity
outside produces endorphins which chemically make you happier, which
means you can improve your physical and emotional health all with one
ride aboard of one of our watersport activities.
